The Lost Soles

Wow another years gone away. Whaddid I do this year? Aside from a little animation I mainly spent the summer recording a CD I'm calling 'Show Your Blood'.   I hope to turn it into a visual piece - but thats a few months away. Still not finished the Ed Ackerman doc, well my parts done.   Hopefully Patrick will settle on an edit... someday.   The main point of this textual insertion is plomp in my new url.   Well the soles adventure is gone, on to the Renagde Terror...   come on by and visit the new digs...

Ah yes damaged the old computer back in May and lost most of the files for this site.  So this little text update is the most I can do with this site without getting rid of the whole thing.  To briefly sum up the summer, the project couldn't happend because - not only the loss of the computer but I also got injured and couldn't work for bit, which led to a financial crunch.  So it just couldn't happen.  But oh well, I'm back on my feet now and working with Patrick Lowe on a movie about Ed Ackerman, creator of Primitti Too Taa.  We showed a clip of it last night at the new, revamped, and -underground- microcine.  It was recieved well and I think we're both very excited at how it'll turn out.

Now currently my interests return to music.  I think I'd like to make another animated music thing, ala Cage in 2.  I've been working with a great free program called Blender.  The possibilities you can do with this thing is amazing.  Anyone interesting in computer rendering should check it out at blender.org.  Again not sure if I'll reinvent this site or just go with something but I hate to leave it in its incomplete state.  We'll see, bye for now.

Well some pictures are back up.  Maybe I'll finish them over the weekend.  Tomorrow I'm checking out an info session Vancouver Film School is putting on.  They're not shy about tooting their horn.  I never heard of them until Mike moved there.  I'm interested to find out what they can offer.  Not sure I'm interested in that tution though.

Well A Cage In 2 played at MicroCinema.  A few technical glitches but they managed to make to happen.  I was also suprised to get some money for my efforts.  They're apparantly paying for their content now.  Unexpected money always brings a smile to my face.

Ahh spring!  Time for a change methinks!

The old page was getting a little tired.  You'll notice most of the site is gone now.  Time for renewal.  Something new coming, as always, soon or whenever.

I'm working on something big, perhaps a little too big, for the summer.  So far I'm just calling the "Silly Vampire Movie" because, well, its silly.  Details as they arrive.

Quick Update: March 6, 2003

Just wanted to let you know that "A Cage In 2" is a finalist in the Local Exposure contest and screening taking place this Saturday at the Globe Theatre(portage place) at 4:30pm.  Admission is $6 and the audience votes for the top prize.  I believe its part of NSI's Film Exchange festival.

A slightly different and cleaned up version will be seen at the MicroCinema on April 26.

First update of the year!

I'm happy to report I've finished yet another short!  The first one in about a year.  And about time.  Its called 'A Cage In 2'.  Its a bit more of an art film then I'd normally do.  Its two very different scenes that share only the idea of escape.  Chad did some voice work for it and co-wrote the song 'Breathe' which it features.

Here are some pictures from it:
